Brianna first met Marina at Osaka Airport, when Brianna hopped off the plane, Marina warmly greeted her with a hug accompanied by 'you smell very nice', and unsurprisingly they became great friends ever since.

Some best memories include repeated visits to Bashufeng, Factree, Panda Noodles (now closed), the hours long phone calls, and deep chats that pass by a blink.

Angela has known Marina since she was still in the womb and hasn’t had a moment of peace since. She’s spent her life as Marina’s unpaid karaoke audience and watching her inhale cakes and dumplings like a human black hole.

But beneath all the chaos, Marina is the first person Angela calls with good news, bad news, or just to rant. She’s her sister, her loudest cheerleader, and the one person she can always count on - even if she steals the last dumpling.

Before they met, Mel had heard from one of their mutual friends that they looked alike. They finally met at the HKSS 2016 planning meeting and since then, they’ve discovered they have so much in common, including sharing the same initials, “MH”.

Trips to Japan, playing Animal Crossing, and more recently, Marina being Mel’s maid of honour — these are just some of the precious memories they've shared over the years.

Melvin lives for games, his dog and Angela. He first met Marina mid-sweat and mid-panic, terrified to meet his girlfriend’s family. Thankfully, her kindness and warm welcomes made him feel right at home.

Then came Nelson, a true bromance spark. They instantly bonded over games, snacks, and all things nerdy. Melvin’s stoked to call these two his soon-to-be siblings… even if he’s still a little salty Nelson didn’t pick him.

THE PUNTER

Tom and Nelson didn't like each other at first, even before they’d actually interacted. But that changed fast! Nelson taught Tom how to shoot a basketball, and they've been sinking shots together ever since.

If you need a good betting tip, Tom is your guy. And if you ever want to strike up a chat about any random topic, he’ll always share his honest thoughts. You’ll also be able to hear him from across the room thanks to his one of a kind laugh.

OLD SIDE

Mengpu and Nelson went from after-school walking buddies in primary, to literal copy-and-paste homework buddies, and now to coffee and drinking buddies today (though it’s usually Mengpu peer pressuring Nelson to have a drink).

He’s the one Nelson goes to for anything and everything. He’s also responsible for teaching Nelson most of his bad habits (but don’t tell the parents).

Do you have a gift registry?

We feel so lucky to already have a home full of everything we need. If you’d like to give a gift, we’d truly appreciate a contribution to our wishing well. Your generosity will help us create special memories on our honeymoon, support future adventures, or simply go towards building our life together!

When is the RSVP deadline?

Please let us know if you’ll be joining us by 1st August 2025. It helps us finalise food, seating, and all the fun details. Thank you!

What is the dress code?

Semi-formal attire that lets you feel fabulous whether you’re dancing or just striking a pose! One tiny request: Please avoid wearing white or red so our bride and her bridesmaids can shine on the big day!

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 20-30 minutes before the ceremony. We’ll be starting on time and we don’t want you to miss a moment!

Where can we park?

Valet parking is available onsite for $65. If not, we would recommend parking at Jellicoe Street Car Park or Uber in because it's a convenient location!

Can I bring a plus one?

We’d love to include everyone, but due to space limits we can only accommodate those named on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

What if I have a dietary requirement?

No worries at all! Just let us know when you RSVP, and we’ll make sure there’s something delicious waiting for you.
